Lacrosse officials are essential to the game — they keep play safe, fair, and flowing. In Alberta, officials are governed by the Alberta Lacrosse Referee Association (ALRA), a recognized Local Governing Body of the Alberta Lacrosse Association. Officials come from all backgrounds and share a passion for the sport.

Officiating is a flexible, paid opportunity that keeps you active and connected to lacrosse, with chances to develop skills and advance to higher levels. Anyone can become an official — teens, adults, players, parents, and former athletes.
