The Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council proudly support's Girls Box Lacrosse

In 2013 the GELC had 23 all girls teams across 4 levels that competed in the greater Edmonton area, there are approximately 50 teams in the province of Alberta.

The season consists of practices, regular season games,followed by playoffs with an opportunity to compete in provincial championships and even National Championships!

During the regular season there are often fun tournaments for teams to attend in their local arenas and across the province. Tournaments occur on weekends, thru the season.

Its not uncommon for girls to start learning and to experience success in lacrosse at any of our 4 age groups listed below or earlier in mixed divisions of tyke and mini tyke.

Novice

Pee Wee

Bantam 

Midget 

Lacrosse game play and strategies are very close to both basketball and ringette. If you're looking for a fast paced, exciting sport there's no doubt that lacrosse is for you.

For those with post secondary interests lacrosse can lead to scholarship opportunites through out the US and even international compettion in girls field lacrosse. Girls with box lacrosse experience often excel and are sought after for girls field lacrosse.

Come and play the fastest game on two feet, and Canada's National Sport of Summer!
