2026 SEASON INFORMATION

 

 2026 Season Information 

*The below are guidelines for season structure. Some games may be played on an alternate day of the week than listed below based on facility availability*

Division  

 League Information

 U7

 Games are structured in accordance with the Long Term Athlete Development Program of Lacrosse Canada indicated in the CLA Rule Book - Option X  Games are played with smaller nets and on half the playing surface. All teams will participate in 1 weekend of play (Saturday or Sunday) in May, and June against other clubs.  Member clubs will schedule practices and in-house games at their discretion.U7 will have a wrap up GELC Jamboree style tournament on June 13/14, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.

U9

 U9 Lacrosse will be played as per the Lacrosse Canada Rule Book - Option LU9 Season Play will begin April 11-12, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.For the remainder of 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, weekday games will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, with a start time of 6:00pm or 7:00pm. There will be weekend play with Westlock. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion.U9 will have a wrap up GELC Jamboree style tournament on June 13/14, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.

U11

 U11 Lacrosse is played in tiers A,B, CU11 Season Play will begin April 11-12, 2026 at the Southside Soccer Centre.For the remainder of 2024 Box Lacrosse playing season, weekday games will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, with a start time of 6:00pm or 7:00pm. There will be weekend play with Westlock. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion.

U13

 U13 Lacrosse is played in tiers A,B, CU13B and U13 Female Division Season Play will begin the week of April 13th, 2026.For the remainder of 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U13B and U13W weekday games will be scheduled on  Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a start time of anywhere between 6:00-8:15pm. There will be s weekend play with Westlock. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion.U13A Season Play will begin the week of April 13th, 2026.For the 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U13A & U13A weekday games will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, with a start time of anywhere between 6:00-8:15pm.There will be some weekend play. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion. There will be travel for league play to Red Deer, AB on weeknights or weekends.

U15

 

 U15 Lacrosse is played in tiers A,B,CU15B and U15 Female Division Season Play will begin the week of April 13th, 2026.For the remainder of 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U15B, and U15F weekday games will be scheduled on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with a start time of anywhere between 7:00-8:30pm. There will be some weekend play. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion.There will be travel for league play, for female lacrosse, to Central Alberta on some weekends.U15A Division Season Play will begin the week of April 13th, 2026.For the 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U15C & U15A  weekday games will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday, with a start time of anywhere between 7:00-8:30pm.There will be some weekend play. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion. 

U17

 

 U17B and U17 Female Division Season Play will begin the week of April 13th, 2026.For the remainder of 2026 Box Lacrosse playing season, U17B and U17F weekday games will be scheduled any day of the week with a start time of anywhere between 7:00-8:30pm. There will be some weekend play. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion. There will be travel for league play, for female lacrosse, to Central Alberta on some weekends.

U17 A

 U17A Division - Wild Rose Lacrosse LeagueSeason Start Date TBD U17A Provincial League Games will be played on weekends. Regional games will be scheduled any day of the week. Member clubs will schedule practices at their discretion.

*  Run time - all time penalties shall run at their normal designated time(Minor - 2 minutes, Major - 5  minutes, Misconduct - 10  minutes, etc)

** Stop Time - when used in WL Rules of Play or the LC Age and Stage modifications is defined as the clock only stopping for goals, penalties, or time outs. If there is a goal differential of 6, the clock will run at straight time. If the goal differential is brought within four goals, the clock shall return to stop time.
